Project overview:
Design a chair using a combination of cement and wood, inspired by the college environment and personal context.
Objective:
The goal was to explore the integration of two contrasting materials—cement and wood—to craft a seating solution that reflects both personal expression and campus culture. The chair was to address a functional gap within the campus, while also considering its relationship with the surrounding space. Special attention was given to material behavior, aesthetic relevance, and emotional connection to the college. As it was my first time working with cement, I had to experiment with mould-making and setting techniques, ensuring the final piece was structurally sound and visually engaging.
